THE EUROPA MISSION

Going alien fishing on the icy dark moon

The Europa flyby mission is formulated by NASA to explore the icy crust of Jupiter's moon the Europa. Nasa's plan is to launch two separate missions one a flyby spacecraft and then a lander to harbor the moon's ocean . The purpose is to reveal new discoveries in oceans beyond the earth. The spacecraft to be launched is under development phase is speculated to be launched near to 2022-2025.Clipper refers to "the clipper ships that sailed across the oceans of Earth in the 19th century … three-masted sailing vessels renowned for their grace and swiftness," according to a NASA statement in March 2017.

                     History of Europa explorations

The joint NASA-European Space Agency Galileo mission to Jupiter performed several flybys of Europa between 1995 and 2003. One of that mission's most notable accomplishments was finding extensive evidence of a salty, liquid ocean beneath Europa's surface. Galileo's finding included that the Jupiter's magnetic field was disrupted in the space around Europa and this proved the presence of some sort of magnetic field created within Europa. According to scientists the most probable material to create these magnetic signatures is a global ocean of salty water.

How is this related to aliens

We all know NASA is not just interested in sightseeing and when it is a mission to the less
unwrapped part of the solar system. Europa is one of the most speculated places which may contain alien life forms.Photosynthetic life forms as we know are those whom use the sun's light to energize their biological mechanisms and recently some bacteria were discovered, in the case of whom it became evident that the light need not even come from sun .A new study explores the potential for photosynthetic life to persist in such sun-starved conditions. The research aims to shed light, as it were, on how organisms could live off of the dim infrared emissions from hydro thermal vents on alien worlds. It is found that in the oceans hydro thermal vents due to underground volcanoes forms biological hot spots that provide optimum condition for some bacteria's. Similar hydro thermal vents in Europa is still a speculation, but scientists are confident that under the icy crust of Europa their is possibility of an ocean kept liquid by tidal flexing as Jupiter's gravity squishes and squeezes the moon. This flexing could also spur tectonic-like processes in Europa's mantle, leading to hydro thermal vents on its subsurface ocean's floor. If this findings are right we may find life forms that live in the same way as those in Earth's hydro thermal vaults.

"Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious."
                                                                                          -  Stephen Hawking

Well this quote defines our blog. The sole purpose of our blog is to Inspire,Educate and Guide our readers through the world of space science and technology and to let you know more about the opportunities in space.

From the early stages of life itself we humans have wondered and questioned our place in this universe. We had advanced a lot in terms of science and technology but still we can't answer a lot of questions like Are we alone? What's our origin? etc.. So in order to find answers to these questions and to know more we should share our thoughts and knowledge because through sharing we are not losing anything instead it only spreads more light to our little knowledge about our universe.

So this blog is all about Space and technology because its the future of humanity.
